On ‘Late Show,’ Eric Bana Is a Proud Car Owner — Who Happens to Have Children

And he told David Letterman a story about his kids without a single FatherBrag:
“…the other day I was talking to my son (on the computer) and he finished his stint, and then my daughter came in and sat down and we started talking and I could see that she was a little distracted. I thought my son had left the room and suddenly they got into a fight. – on the Skype.
And I’m like, Sophia, it’s me just, just concentrate, concentrate on dad, it’s just me…
The next thing I see, this hand, coming from out of frame (puts his hand over his mouth). And then a second hand like this (puts his other hand around his neck).
And suddenly it’s like I’m watching a hostage video!”
His wife didn’t intervene, no one apologized or hugged and made up.
Now we may never know if his kids are brilliant or artistic or kind to animals. Just a brother and sister knocking about like nothing special.
A Mother With a Giant Bragging Opportunity, Doesn’t
17-year-old Mark Selavka, Connecticut, was born with cerebral palsy that severely weakened the left side of his body. Yet this year he earned a position as a varsity baseball pitcher for his high school team. And he can only use his right hand.
He pitches no-hitters and then catches line drives and pop-ups bare-handed if he doesn’t have time to switch his mitt to his right hand.
He also takes care of his twin brother Greg who is unable to speak or walk, saying, “He’s overcome so much more than I have, so I just really look up to him a lot for inspiration.”
Mark spent 15 years learning to throw and catch with his one good arm, with the support of parents who told him to never say, “I can’t.”
In her appearance in a national news story featuring her son and his amazing skills and even more amazing spirit, his mother said, “When he was younger I watched like this [hand over her eyes, squinting through her fingers], to be very honest with you.”

Diane Sawyer: Don’t forget Bryce the next week, after you’ve seen Angels and Demons…
RH: Bryce will be alright with Terminator. Let’s go with Angels and Demons today…
Maybe It’s Just That British Reserve
On Mother’s Day Eve, injured British soldier Major Phil Parker finished the London Marathon after being told he’d never walk again. He undertook this 13-day journey to raise money for other injured servicemen, and said he felt, “that’s where the attention and focus should be, not on me.”
His mother, Angela, simply said: “It is just the most amazing feeling. To see him on his feet. Crossing that line.”
